We then follow a gentle decent down past Rylstone Cross to Rylstone itself where we will visit the duck pond for lunch. Our return mostly follows the quarry railway line for a gentle traverse back to Embsay.

Total climbing 375m. mostly in the first half of the walk. 11am start time.

Equipment:  walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.

NB: please note that as this walk crosses open access land, dogs are not permitted.
