This is an easy Saturday afternoon 4 mile approx. wander/stroll/meander around this Country Park with wonderful scenery, lots of wildlife and a legend thrown in for good measure.
Most of the paths are on the level and are of tarmac/stones with just one or two on earth which may be muddy depending on recent weather.
The Country Park is 64 hectares/180 acres with the central feature being the lake itself.
It is surrounded by peat bog which has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the rest of the park consists largely of coniferous woodland, dry heath and broad leaved woodland.
There is a small cafe for those wanting lunch before the walk or light refreshments at the end.
