A circular walk of 8.5 miles to visit the pretty village of Goodnestone with its big house and lovely cottages with characteristic arch windows. We will be passing through some areas of woodland full of blue bells and wild garlic and once out of the woods the terrain will be gently ondulating fields with big skies and distant views.
Lunch stop is at Staple Church, so please bring packed lunch, but for those wishing to have a drink the Black Pig is 5 minutes walk further along the road.
We then will return to Goodnestone via Chillenden and its mill -one of the last in this style built in Kent- encountering pretty cottages and churches, and also through Nonington Court, home to The Bruderhof community.
