NOTE DATE: SUNDAY 15TH JANUARY 2023

A 7.5 mile walk starting  in the village of East Dean and walking up into Friston Forest, eventually passing through the picturesque old hamlet of Westdean. After descending through Exceat (Country Park Visitors Centre) we climb again near Cuckmere Haven before walking the coastal route along most of the Seven Sisters before turning inland back to East Dean. There are quite a few ascents and descents and we will cross the A259 coast road twice.

There are tearooms in East Dean as well as a pub, The Tiger Inn.

Please bring water and a packed lunch, sun protection and something to sit on. Wear clothes appropriate for the weather and terrain. Paths through the forest are likely to be muddy. Dogs are welcome if kept on leads whenever near livestock, on roads or requested by the walk leader.
