An 8 mile circular walk from Glossop station to Tintwistle and back.

The route climbs steadily out of old Glossop and across the hill to Padfield. It descends to go around Bottoms reservoir and Tintwistle and return via Blackshaw farm (there is a small section to walk along the road). A great variety of scenery, rolling hills, farmland, Bottoms and Valehouse reservoirs and beautiful views across to Tintwistle Moor. Opportunity for pub stop at the end.

Food / Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. After the walk, there is a chance for a drink in a local pub or cafe.

Equipment:  walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
