A nine mile circular walk from Goathland to Grosmont with great views of the railway, steam trains and waterfalls. The outward walk is up and down on moorland, with a couple of climbs that will make the average person breathless.  An easy walk back along the rail track with a visit to the Mallyann Spout waterfall, we need to go down quite a lot of steps and even more to climb back up to the hotel, returning to the cars. You will need to bring a packed lunch, Walking boots and wet weather clothing. Also you can expect some mud even in August. Toilets and cafes in Goathland and Grosmont. Other drinking venues too.
