Knighton and Garth Hill--afternoon walk

Event Details

This is part of the Knighton few days away.

Please note this walk will not have been recc'd in advance.

The Event contact will be coming by train and this was delayed on our last trip so if you are coming on this walk please take the contacts mobile number below, in case she is delayed.

This is classed as an "easy" 4 mile approx. walk, to stretch our legs on arrival in Knighton, though there will be a climb involved.

We will explore the main street in Knighton with its impressive Clock Tower and quaint cottages mostly from the 17th century.

We then join the start of Glyndwr's Way path proceeding upwards to Garth Hill (346 metres) where we should get excellent views down over the town.

The route follows the trail through woodland that allows further views across the valley to Offa's Dyke path--where we will walk on Tuesday--on the Shropshire Hills.

There are some stiles on this walk.

Bring a snack/drink.

Refreshments in Knighton at the end and see below for Monday nights evening meal.
