Description: Leaving Basingstoke, we follow the Test Valley to Whitchurch, then turn northeast over the Downs through the quaint villages of Kingsclere and Brimpton, towards the Kennet valley. By now the terrain is easier, and we pass the nuclear establishments at Aldermaston and Burghfield. Glowing with (radio)activity we return south to Basingstoke.

Pub lunch Brimpton.
