  • TerrainNothing too strenuous, other than a bit of an incline from Batsford Arboretum up the hill to Bourton. One main road to cross, but otherwise we follow good paths and bridleways which should all be dry, unless there has been recent rain. There are a small number of stiles, and some of the fields may contain livestock.

A beautiful walk through rolling Cotswold countryside, with far-reaching views, picturesque villages and the extraordinary Indian palace that is Sezincote House.

This is an easy to moderate ramble.  There is a steady, gentle incline as we follow the Monarch's Way out of Moreton, past Batsford Arboretum.  At Bourton-on-the-Hill we join the Heart of England Way, taking us past Sezincote to the village of Longborough.  From there, it's an easy stroll across level countryside back to our starting point.
